In 2012, Jo Ann Malter, Marilyn Doran, and Pat Alexander were sitting around Jo Ann's kitchen table discussing the idea for a new club centered around allowing women to get together in a relaxed social environment designed to meet new people, provide exciting travel destinations, as well as provide an interesting group to travel with. After that kitchen table discussion, they started Silver Foxes; whose name is based on what became our motto: Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver the other is gold.
Since that day in 2012, we have grown to over 550 members. We are a social club providing an easy way for members to meet each other in fun social settings. We are also a travel club devoted to finding new adventures, both local and far away. Our members have enjoyed trips as close to home as the Mob Museum, Smith Center, the gardens at Bellagio, and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. And as far away as China, a Japan Cruise, a Mediterranean Cruise, Israel, New Orleans, and many more. We are always open to suggestions from members for their travel ideas.
The Silver Wolves, the male component, was added to the club in 2015.
